Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D) is among the list of women for consideration to be former Vice President Joe Biden’s running mate. Rallying behind Biden, she was one of Biden’s earliest endorsers and has served as a surrogate for his campaign.
Biden has spoken highly of Lance Bottoms saying, “You’ve been incredible," he said. "I’ve watched you like millions and millions of Americans have on television of late. Your passion, your composure, your balance has been really incredible.”
Mayor Lance Bottoms will also appear on Oprah’s “Where Do We Go From Here?”
Oprah.com writes, “Oprah Winfrey hosts an urgent discussion surrounding the current state of affairs in the US with leading figures in the Black community. Oprah will be joined by Stacey Abrams, Ava DuVernay, Keisha Lance Bottoms, David Oyelowo and more.”
The program will air Tuesday, June 9 (Part 1) and Wednesday, June 10 (Part 2) at 9 p.m. ET/PT both nights. It will also stream for free on the Watch OWN and Discovery Family TVE apps, as well as OWN’s Youtube, Facebook and Instagram channels and be available on Discovery’s global platforms in more than 200 countries and territories.
